Economic Development

The Development Authority of Gordon County is charged with the economic development of Gordon County, which ranks in the top third of Georgia’s 159 counties economically and is home of the only mega-site north of Atlanta. Privately owned, the property exceeds 2,300 acres and is located on a major highway with rail service readily available. Ideally located just off I-75, the nation’s busiest interstate, Gordon County sits in the middle of Auto Alley and boasts a skilled labor force, a solid infrastructure offering virtually unlimited natural gas and electricity, an ample water supply, and fiber-optic technology competitive with any Georgia location. All five municipalities are controlled by business-friendly governments offering valuable incentives for both new and existing businesses as they locate or expand right here in Gordon County.
